A rare scenery painting!

This is a terrible photo (taken with my iphone) of a recent large painting I did of our local scenery.  But - gives the basic idea of what it's all about.... our dramatic skies!  I rarely paint scenery, and wasn't sure I could pull it off... but I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.   I really must take some better photos of it and post them... maybe soon.

More Pencil Crayon!

I recently drew another pencil crayon picture.  This one is of my dad playing his little 'c' trumpet to Monarch!  The horses love it when my dad comes out and plays his trumpets to them, as you can see here!  This will be a gift for my dad once it's framed... I'm thinking father's day???  I hope he likes it!

It's been a while!!!

Yes, we're in the midst of winter - Ugh!  We've had a lot of snow this year.  Personally, I can't wait until late spring and summer.  I'm just not a cold weather person anymore!  I've been terrible at posting lately, but will try to keep up again.

Monarch and Simba - looking beautiful as always!

Framed

Just a quick photo to show the watercolours framed and ready to deliver!!!  Terrible photo, but you get the idea (I was in a rush!)

I had to take these at an angle to avoid the flashlight reflection from the camera... :~(

My friend had a baby!

I've been working on a couple of gifts for her....

These two whimsical paintings were lots of fun.  I have to admit it wasn't totally my idea as I saw something similar online, but they were graphic art with photoshopped pics, whereas mine is actually hand drawn and painted with watercolours.   I chose a lovely poem by Robert Louis Stevenson, "Travel" and drew the images on top - turning them into art.  Tomorrow I will mount the paintings onto beautiful backing paper and then frame.... Hopefully I'll remember to post photos of them framed.

This box holds another handmade surprise.... I also made this cabochon with his name in wire encased in resin....
I guess this gives away who it's for... :~)

Stair Railing Underway!

I finally finished installing the stair railing and banisters! What a job that was! Now the glue and wood filler just needs to finish drying, and then it needs to be painted! It will look beautiful and I'm very pleased so far with the result. After figuring out how to install this one, which was quite tricky and tedious.... I figure I can install any type of stair railing now!!!! I'll post another photo of it entirely completed soon.
