I finally finished installing the stair railing and banisters! What a job that was! Now the glue and wood filler just needs to finish drying, and then it needs to be painted! It will look beautiful and I'm very pleased so far with the result. After figuring out how to install this one, which was quite tricky and tedious.... I figure I can install any type of stair railing now!!!! I'll post another photo of it entirely completed soon.

Back to basics
What a pleasure it was to do this drawing entirely with pencil crayons. It really makes you work layer by layer for every square centimetre of colour! I've always enjoyed pencils, and this was the first time I'd attempted a "real" piece of art work using this medium. Julia is my niece, and Simba, my lovely quarter horse gelding, who as you can see by this, loves to be cuddled!

Just a couple more...
Just a couple more pieces of art work... created in my "spare" time. I'm busy tiling our master bathroom... work in progress photos coming very soon... I'm so excited to get that bathroom done (soon)!!!

"Cottage Garden"
A Watercolour on paper. (Not a very good photo of this unframed piece lying on a drafting table.)
This is drawn with pencil crayons on brown recycled paper.
