Brotherly love!

I love my brother... I love both my brothers... Sadly one lives on the other side of the country so I don't see him much anymore...  My older brother Andy lives a few hours away, and we see each other quite often.  This was a photo taken of us on my birthday this spring.  Good times!!!

Penny is funny.  I actually find most cats quite entertaining, each with their own unique character!  I had a reusable shopping back hanging on my bed post.  Well, Penny figured it was a great place to have a nap!

Just Ducky...

Finally got around to doing another painting.... again, a gift for someone. This is a 5"x7" gouache and watercolour on illustration board.  I REALLY enjoyed painting this... ducklings are so adorable, so the subject matter kept me smiling.  These photos were taken with my iphone 3, so the quality is not very good, but you get the idea!

Did I mention Spain and London!

YES!!! We were lucky enough to go on a trip to London and Spain last August... these are only a VERY small handful of the many amazing photos from our trip.  Oh, we also went to Gibraltar!  What great experiences we had!  Now I really have the travel bug and want to see so much more of the world.... oh no!

A Dear Friend...

This fall my dear friend and I had a chance to hang out in Vancouver for a couple of days!  We've been friends for a VERY long time!  Isn't it wonderful having a great friendship?!

Winter Beauty

A rare scenery painting!

This is a terrible photo (taken with my iphone) of a recent large painting I did of our local scenery.  But - gives the basic idea of what it's all about.... our dramatic skies!  I rarely paint scenery, and wasn't sure I could pull it off... but I'm really pleased with how this one turned out.   I really must take some better photos of it and post them... maybe soon.  

More Pencil Crayon!

I recently drew another pencil crayon picture.  This one is of my dad playing his little 'c' trumpet to Monarch!  The horses love it when my dad comes out and plays his trumpets to them, as you can see here!  This will be a gift for my dad once it's framed... I'm thinking father's day???  I hope he likes it!

It's been a while!!!

Yes, we're in the midst of winter - Ugh!  We've had a lot of snow this year.  Personally, I can't wait until late spring and summer.  I'm just not a cold weather person anymore!  I've been terrible at posting lately, but will try to keep up again.
